  CONVERSION GUIDE FOR MEMBERS

It has been 10 years since our last computer system conversion and in those years technology has changed exponentially. In addition to technology advancements, there have been many regulatory and compliance requirements that are intended to keep information secure and safe.  Tuesday, November 1, 2016 is our “go live” date for our new computer platform.  Our team has been and will continue working diligently on training to learn the new system in order to minimize member issues and deliver the very best service to our membership.  Now that we are approaching the computer system conversion, we want you to have this Conversion Guide for Members to help lead you through this change.  It contains important information that you will need in order to re-enroll in the online branch as well as to access your account for MARS – Member Audio Response System.  If you have any questions, please call (815)316-2900 or e-mail us at GreatRates@generationscu.org

PAYROLL DISTRIBUTION

     
 

Once we convert to our new system, please make sure to check your payroll distributions.  If your payroll distributes to a loan or more than one account, there is a chance they may not distribute correctly.  If they do not distribute correctly, contact us and we will make the distributions and correct the automated distribution process for your account.

     
         
 

VISA DEBIT/CREDIT CARD SERVICES

     
 

During our conversion, your VISA debit, credit, and prepaid cards will function without interruption. ATM machines will also operate without disruption throughout the conversion.

To log in: Go to our website www.generationscu.org, click It’sMe247, in the upper right hand corner.

     
 
  • Enter account# – click submit
     
 
  • Enter your temporary password – this will be your 4 digit birth year and the first 2 letters of your last name (ALL CAPS) – click submit
     
 
    • As you continue the log in process, you will be directed to change your password
     
 
  • Continue to follow the prompts to enroll in It’sMe247
     
 
  • When the It’sMe247 screen appears, your enrollment is complete

During the first two weeks of November, when you dial our office (815-316-2900), you will likely be connected to our Member Services Support Call Center.  While you may not recognize the friendly voice on the line, you will be able to complete your banking business just as you always have done when speaking directly to our staff.  Engaging the Member Services Support Call Center during the first two weeks after conversion will allow our staff to focus on the needs of our members in the lobby and perform transactions accurately and efficiently.  Usual member service phone operations will resume in the third week of November at which time you will speak directly to one of our staff members when you dial Generations Credit Union.

Before October 29, 2016 - Be Prepared!

  • Save/archive old e-statements from the online branch.
  • Friday, October 28 will be the last day in October to:
    • Withdraw cash from your account in person
    • Purchase a money order
    • Load funds to your cuMoney card
    • Make a loan payment
    • Make a Visa Credit Card payment in person or by phone at the credit union.  Note that the www.ezcardinfo.com web site will be accessible for completing payments as well as obtaining account information.
     
 

Closed October 29-31, 2016

  • We will be closed Saturday, October 29 and Monday, October 31.
  • The online branch, online bill payment and MARS (Member Audio Response System) will be unavailable.
     
 
November 1, 2016
  • GCU office will re-open
  • Re-enroll in the online branch by logging into It’sMe247 at www.generationscu.org
  • Sign up for E-statements
  • Access to the online bill payment system is restored and payments can be resumed

Generations Credit Union will be undergoing a software upgrade beginning
Saturday, October 29, 2016 through Monday, October 31, 2016.

In addition to the technology advancements, there have been many regulatory and compliance requirements that are intended to keep information secure and safe.  Our team is pleased to be able to offer our members service level improvements and enhanced technology features and functionality with this system upgrade. 

Note the following:
Telephone Banking-MARS
Will not be available after 4:00 PM CST Friday, October 28, 2016 through Monday, October 31, 2016.

Online Banking
Will not be available after 4:00 PM CST Friday, October 28, 2016 through Monday, October 31, 2016.  You will be receiving a new web link and login information prior to conversion along with an expanded list of online banking features and functionality.

Online Bill Pay
Will not be available after 8:00 AM CST Friday, October 28, 2016 through Monday, October 31, 2016.

E-Statements
All members will receive a paper statement in November for the statement period ending 10/31/2016, free of charge.  After the upgrade is completed, members who are currently receiving e-statements will continue to receive these through the online branch portal beginning with the first statement cycle on November 30, 2016.

Action needed: Members Receiving Edocs (electronic statements):
Save Your Statements Electronically
Make sure to save prior period e-statements before Friday, October 28, 2016.  Your prior period account statements will not be available through the online banking portal after the cut over date.  You are strongly urged to archive all e-statements because they will be removed from the system on Friday, October 28, 2016.  Our office will have all e-statements archives, but it is your responsibility to archive your own.  If you request statement copies after Friday, October 28, 2016, the statement copy fee of $2.50 per month will apply.
